Our lathe is custom built by Thorsten Scheffner of Organic Music in Germany, who is well known in the world of record cutting for his innovations and expertise. In our Lathe, the head is stationary and the platter moves as the record is cut, giving it incredible stability and precision. The preamp for the head is also a custom model made by Thorsten. The Lathe features an SX 84 Type Custom head, and a Pitch 98 computer that were built by Florian Kauffmann of FloKaSon. The quality and reliability this machine delivers is unmatched, and we are very excited to have this amazing tool at our disposal!
Custom Cutting
Since our machine is an advanced evolution of the Neumann VMS 82, we can offer several types of cut. Whether you are looking for a classic DMM sound, extremely high fidelity or a standard lacquer vibe, we've got you covered.
Recording
Every cut is recorded with our Riga P6, using an Audio- Technica VM750SH Shibata type needle. It is then sent to the customer for approval, so you can be sure you have the sound you want- before the record is pressed.
Worldwide Shipping
We package our cuts in custom boxes made specifically for 14 inch blanks, and ship worldwide via DHL Express, FedEx or UPS. Ask for an individual quote for international shipping.
